Replacement Vehicle
As part of our motor accident service, we can arrange for a replacement motor vehicle of the same type or near equivalent to your own motor vehicle whilst yours is off the road, being repaired, or replaced following your motor accident.
Traditionally, you would hire a replacement vehicle and pay for this in advance and then you would look to recover the replacement hire costs from the responsible party‘s insurers. For many, this is not economically practical; however help is at hand with our replacement vehicle facility via our supplier, Performance Car Hire (PCH).
PCH are 1st tier members of the Association of British Insurers Credit Hire Scheme (ABI GTA) and are a leading provider of prestige replacement vehicles (often referred to within the industry as credit hire) to the insurance industry and to individuals involved in an accident that was someone else’s fault.
We are able to arrange a suitable replacement vehicle via PCH whilst your own vehicle is off the road. This may be whilst your vehicle is being repaired, or whilst settlement is being obtained if your vehicle is ‘written off’, or declared a total loss.
We will agree the make and model of your replacement vehicle, and daily cost with the third party insurers as soon as you instruct us; we will then present the claim for replacement hire charges to the third party insurers on your behalf for direct payment. This, in most instances, avoids you being involved in litigation.
Even if you are at fault for an accident, PCH may still be able to supply you with a replacement vehicle at a discounted rate for our clients.
